Zurich – 31 October 2026, 23:31. Dada Kaffee, sitting on the step by the quiet corner with a glass of water, ribs still glowing, ears still ringing.

The glow works

Two coats of glow paint were the right call. When Kinky switched off the big lights for the first time, the whole room said "ooh" at my bones. I am not used to being the brightest thing in a room. I could get used to it. The beanie is still on, slightly damp.

The rooftop routine, indoors

Two steps left, a spin, a peace sign, freeze. On the rooftop I had the whole sky. Here I had one square metre between the counter and a table of pumpkins. It still worked. Kinky jumped in at the spin, a guest in a ghost sheet copied the freeze, and VenRod did step two correctly for the first time. I saw it. I have witnesses.

Who is dancing to what

The boombox is on shuffle and nobody knows what comes next, which is the fun part. Kinky dances to everything, but "Don't Stop Me Now" made her pumpkin belly bounce like a ball. PoshX swayed through a slow one from her late-night list with her wand in the air. DeeNice tapped her broom to "Stand by Me" – one of mine – and pretended she wasn't.

VenRod just checked his watch. Midnight is coming, and so are his three questions.

Back to the floor. A skeleton doesn't rest.
