SinDee beats Kinky's KC CatoLix score on the number 4 tram

SinDee beats Kinky's score in the maze game KC CatoLix on a Zurich tram, writes an honest review and explains why a maze feels like finding a free wall.

Zurich – 29 October 2026, 9:50. Tram 4, window seat, steamed-up glass, my beanie pulled low and my thumb sore from the last six stops.

The score

Kinky has been bragging about her KC CatoLix score since Sunday. She wrote it on a sticker and stuck it to my paint box, which is a declaration of war in our crew. So this morning, between Hardbrücke and the lake, I played. Three tries. On the third, I found a short cut I had walked past twice, and I beat her. Not by much. Enough. I took a photo of the screen before the tram braked, because she will want proof.

An honest review

I promised myself I would always say what I think, so here it is. The good: it is simple, it is fast, the little cat moves exactly where you point it, and the walls have nice colours (I would add more blue, but I always say that). It does not shout at you with noise or ads. The hard part: when you are tired, the corridors start to look the same, and I swore at a dead end in front of a very polite old man. He nodded like he understood. Maybe he plays too.

Mazes and walls

Playing it, I realised a maze is exactly how it feels to find a wall in Zurich. You see one, perfect, sunny, and the way to it is blocked: wrong owner, wrong permit, wrong moment. You turn back. You try another street. You talk to someone at the bakery who knows someone. Most paths lead nowhere. Then suddenly one opens, and you wonder how you ever missed it. The trick is the same in both: do not panic, remember where you have already been, and keep moving.

The challenge

Kinky, if you read this before your coffee: the photo is on the crew chat. Anyone else who wants to try, the maze is at KC CatoLix. Send me your score and I will tell you honestly if it is good.

Every maze has a way out. Most walls do too. You just have to keep walking.
