A Phone Call from Oerlikon and a Wall for Autumn

Dada Kaffee, Zurich – 21 September 2022, 19:45. SinDee is back. Two weeks on her own, walking along cold coasts, paid with her own mural money. She walked in, dropped her rucksack, and said: "I have a wall." We hadn't even ordered yet.

The touch-up first Quick news: "Open Again" shines again. The touch-up weekend was sunny, the gold is gold, my doorway cat has new claws. The owner asked if we'd come every two years "like a dentist". We said yes.

SinDee's wall On the train home, SinDee got a call from a cat in Oerlikon who saw the kids' wall in Wiedikon. She owns a small courtyard with a big blank wall and wants "something with nature in it, not just concrete".

SinDee already has a sketch: a forest that turns into a lake, birches and reeds, a cat walking slowly along the shore with her back to us. "It's about walking," she said. "Not arriving." PoshX wants to add a Monet-style mist over the water. I want one small orange tabby hidden in the reeds. Guess who.

Decision: the Oerlikon wall gets painted in mid-October, two Saturdays. SinDee leads – her first time leading a crew wall since "Baikal Blue".

Kids again? The owner has grandkittens. DeeNice asked if they want to help on day two. Answer: "Try to stop them." So we'll run a mini workshop on the second Saturday. Brushes for little paws, check.
