The Garden Chair K Is Now Official Crew Business

Dada Kaffee, Zurich – 14 March 2023, 19:00. Rain on the windows, my pink beanie drying on the back of the chair, and DeeNice already tapping the notebook.

The vote

DeeNice did not hide it any longer. Page twelve of the notebook said: Garden chair sticker – yes or no? Three paws went up. Kinky kept hers down for a full minute, then laughed and raised it too.

So it is official. The broken K, the one Kinky drew years ago, becomes a crew joke you can stick on a lamppost. Kinky draws the final version herself. She says she has to make it bad on purpose now, which is harder than it sounds.

Colour evening

My workshop was last Saturday. Characters and colour, two hours, more people than chairs again. I brought pictures of the lake at home in Siberia and asked everyone to find one blue that felt cold. We got eleven different blues. One of them was green. I liked it best.

Next

First print run of the garden-chair sticker before April. A small sticker run along the Limmat once they are ready, only where stickers are welcome. PoshX joins the April workshop and wants to teach painting together on one big sheet.
