Seven Boxes of Sketches and a December Sticker Swap

The archive

It is done. Seven boxes. Every 2023 page we could find, sorted by month, labelled in my handwriting. Workshops, the garden chair in nineteen versions, Lisbon tiles, the Zürich West wall, SinDee's birches, PoshX's scans on a little drive tied to box one with a pink ribbon.

Kinky still calls it the pile. But she spent an hour reading through her own pages, and that is what an archive is for.

The swap

Our December sticker swap, a tradition since our first winter in 2017. Everyone brings stickers they made this year, everyone leaves with someone else's. SinDee brought a frozen-lake sticker. PoshX made a tiny Magic Flute bird. Kinky brought the garden chair, wrapped in tinsel. I brought nothing and received the most. Chairing has its benefits.

2024

Then I read the line I wrote in October: think bigger next year.

So here it is, out loud. In 2024 we want our biggest wall so far. Bigger than "Seventeen", bigger than the tile wall. A wall that shows a whole city of cats. I have a working title: Klitty Skyline. No wall yet, no owner yet, no sketch yet. Only the name and four cats who did not say no.

Also on the list: a project with a school, if one wants us.
