Our Interview Wish List – Thirteen Evenings Later

VenRod and DeeNice look back on thirteen study and tribute evenings since 2018 – from Blek le Rat to Vaughn Bodē – and plan the first real interview requests.

Zurich – 28 March 2026, 20:40. The Ole Ole Bar, our Zurich thinking spot, two notebooks on the table instead of one.

Eight years of studying

Since 2018 DeeNice and I have studied ten artists: Blek le Rat, Gen Atem, André, SEEN, Art is Trash, Mode 2, Bando, Mickry 3, Camil Escruela and Futura 2000 – and we held tribute evenings for Rammellzee, Dondi White and Vaughn Bodē. Exhibitions in Paris, Zurich, New York, Barcelona and Berlin, long evenings at Le Baron, the Ole Ole Bar and many tables in between.

Not one interview yet. On purpose. DeeNice's rule: we only ask when we know the work well enough to ask something new.

The next step

Tonight we decided: this year we write the first real interview requests – politely, with our questions, and with a link to our crew. Whoever says yes, we'll publish it in CatWorldNews. Whoever says no, we'll keep studying.

How it went

Short and clear, which is DeeNice's favourite kind of evening. I'm nervous. She isn't. First step: one letter per week, starting in April.

Study first, ask later. Later is now. – VenRod
