Sticker Swap Number Two and a Year Worth Writing Down

Our second December at the back table. Same steamed-up windows, same slightly too small table, one more black notebook. The first one ran out of pages in October.

The swap

The December sticker swap is now a tradition, which means it has rules. One sticker each, homemade, wrapped in paper. Kinky made a winking cat in a New York taxi. SinDee drew a tiny Wiedikon tree with pink leaves. PoshX made a little Berlin street sign held up by cats, a clear hint. I drew a ladder with a name tag: Bernhard. He retired after the Wiedikon wall and deserved a tribute.

What 2018 gave us

I read it out. Seventeen in Zürich West. Kinky's New York sketches. The street jam in Kreis 4 with seven guest painters. Twelve kids and one paper mural. The autumn wall in Wiedikon. A second winter of sketchbook evenings. Not bad for four cats with day jobs and one ladder.

Looking at 2019

Three lines in the new notebook. First: Berlin, with PoshX as our guide. Second: SinDee wants a wall of her own, something blue, something from Baikal. She has not said more yet, but she has that look. Third: we keep the kids' workshops going, because the youth club already asked when we come back.

Kinky asked about a fourth line for "AC/DC". I wrote it in very small letters at the bottom.
