KC Hello Is Up – and My K Looks Like a Garden Chair

We came in with paint still on our paws. Last Saturday we finished our very first wall together, and tonight was mostly about looking at photos on four phones at once.

The wall in Kreis 5

The owner of a little courtyard in Kreis 5 said yes after SinDee explained the idea twice and I showed him my sketchbook. We painted from morning until it got dark. PoshX did the big round shapes, SinDee the pink outlines, and DeeNice sat on a crate with the notebook and told us when to stop fiddling. KC Hello is now officially up, and the neighbours waved at us. One of them brought us tea.

About that K

Then SinDee zoomed in on my letters. My K, apparently, looks like a broken garden chair. Everyone laughed for far too long. I said it was a stylistic choice. Nobody believed me, including me. I painted subway cars in the Bronx, okay? Those letters were moving.

Next up: stickers

DeeNice wants the name around town before winter, so the next step is our first sticker run. Everyone designs one sticker by the next meeting, and we pick the best two. Small, simple, easy to recognise. I am drawing a winking cat. Obviously.
