Zurich, 17 July 2017, seventeen minutes past five. Four cats, a pile of spray cans and one decision: from today we are a crew. The Klitty Crew.
How it started
The idea came from DeeNice – the brain behind KC, its grey eminence, the godmother of the Klitty Crew. She wanted a crew where nobody has to become a different cat to fit in. She asked three artists she trusted – Kinky, SinDee and PoshX. Three very different stories – a crowded apartment in Manhattan, a farm by Lake Baikal, a childhood in Berlin with roots in Havana and Vietnam – and one shared love for walls, colour and good company.
Why 17:17
The seventeenth day of the seventh month of 2017, at seventeen minutes past five. DeeNice says the date picked itself – nobody argued.
What KC stands for
Two letters you will see everywhere from now on: on Kinky's dungarees, on SinDee's pink beanie, on PoshX's T-shirt. KC – Klitty Crew.
Our rules
We help each other carry the ladder – not only to the opening, but afterwards too. We tell each other honestly when a letter doesn't work. Everyone stays herself. And the playlist is always open for negotiation.
The Klitty Crew – founded in Zurich on 17 July 2017 at 17:17 by DeeNice, Kinky, SinDee and PoshX. DeeNice still pulls the strings – quietly, as a godmother should.
The Klitty Crew is a comic universe – all stories, meetings and events on this blog are fiction. Real artists, magazines and places only appear as inspiration; no real meetings, statements or endorsements are implied.
