Dada Kaffee, Zurich – 28 October 2022, 20:15. A Friday for once, because PoshX works all weekend. Two days before the clocks change, the evening already smelled of chestnuts and wet leaves.

Two Saturdays The Oerlikon wall is finished. The first Saturday was all four of us: birches, reeds, the lake, my walking cat with her back to the street. PoshX laid a soft mist over the water like her Monet postcards. Kinky hid her orange tabby in the reeds. Some people find it at once. Some never do. She loves both.

The second Saturday belonged to the grandkittens. Five of them, one bucket each, painting leaves along the bottom of the wall. Leaves in every colour, including some that don't exist in nature. I didn't correct a single one. Nature can learn.

Leading It was my first time leading a crew wall since "Baikal Blue". DeeNice asked how it felt. Honest answer: tiring, happy, and a bit like walking home after a long day outside. You don't feel the steps until you stop.

What comes next Winter is near, and walls get cold. DeeNice opened the notebook and proposed something quieter: a winter project to gather all our sketchbooks from five years in one place and look through them together, month by month, from November on. Kinky groaned. Her old sketches include a certain K. We all smiled.

"The best walls are the ones where you hear the street breathing." – SinDee
