A Fresh Notebook Page and a Ticket Idea for Berlin

First Klitty Crew meeting of 2019 at the Dada Kaffee in Zurich: DeeNice opens a new notebook page and PoshX pitches a crew trip to Berlin.

Dada Kaffee, Zurich – 17 January 2019, 19:30. Snow on the windows, steam on the cups, and all four of us squeezed around the regular table in the back. I opened the black notebook to a clean page and wrote "2019" at the top. Then I waited.

The year on one page

We started with the easy part: what we want more of. More walls with owners who say yes. More sticker runs that end before our paws go numb. More evenings where Kinky does not lose her sketchbook under the bench. Everyone agreed on the first two. Kinky abstained on the third.

SinDee said quietly that she has a blue in her head she cannot shake. I wrote it down and underlined it. Some ideas need a few months to ripen.

PoshX wants to show us Berlin

Then PoshX put her glasses on the table, which means she is serious. In November she pitched Berlin, and I wrote "Berlin 2019?" in the notebook. Tonight she wanted the question mark gone. Walls, galleries, the places where she first saw Mode 2 pieces in books and dreamed about them. "You will paint better after you have walked those streets," she said. I crossed out the question mark.

Decision: a crew trip to Berlin in early March, led by PoshX. She will plan the route around her shifts. Kinky will plan the snacks, vegetarian, obviously. SinDee will plan nothing and pack light, as usual.

I will plan the budget of patience.

"A new year is just a big empty wall. Sketch first, then spray." – DeeNice
