Baikal Blue Is Done and Kreis 4 Feels a Bit Cooler

The Klitty Crew celebrates SinDee's finished Baikal Blue mural at the Dada Kaffee in Zurich and plans a summer sticker run along the Limmat.

Dada Kaffee, Zurich – 18 June 2019, 21:00. Late meeting, warm evening, all the windows open. PoshX came after her shift with her hair still tied up. SinDee was smiling. Like, visibly. Mark the date.

The wall

Two days of painting, one ladder, too many paper towels, zero grey. "Baikal Blue" is finished and it's honestly one of the best things we've ever done. The sky blend took me most of day one and I only had to redo it once (fine, twice). PoshX and SinDee painted the little shore cat together and you can't tell where one stopped and the other started.

The best part came later. The workshop owner told DeeNice that people now stop in front of the wall and just stand there. A neighbour brought her kittens to look at "the lake". SinDee pretended not to care when she heard this. She cared a lot.

SinDee said it's the closest she's been to home in years. Nobody said anything after that for a while. Good silence.

Next up: the river

Summer is here and we want to be outside. Plan: a sticker run along the Limmat in July, with the Berlin-inspired designs from spring plus a new tiny blue lake sticker. Small, simple, friendly. Only on spots where stickers are welcome, like always.

We also argued about music for the run. I'd love to say I lost. I didn't. AC/DC, obviously.
