Home from Stockholm – The Bridge Is Painted

Dada Kaffee, Zurich – 31 May 2022, 20:00. Back at our table, a bit sunburnt, a bit sleepy, and very happy to see the Dada Kaffee menu again. Kinky ordered everything vegetarian on it "to celebrate".

The trip Train, ferry, one night in a small town on the way – exactly as SinDee planned it on the laminated map. Stockholm greeted us with wind and sunshine at ten in the evening. Kinky was in charge of introductions, and she was right: we loved them all. The silver-painting cat, the laughing white one, the ginger who talked Depeche Mode with PoshX for an entire evening.

The bridge Four days at a legal wall by the water. Kinky's long cat became the bridge. SinDee's ice-blue water ran underneath. PoshX's hands held the railing from both sides. In the middle, two cats shaking paws – one from Zurich, one from Stockholm. Their silver lines everywhere made it shine. The thank-you sticker went on their studio door.

PoshX jogged along the water every morning. SinDee took long walks and came back with seagull sketches. I sat with the notebook and watched. That is my favourite job.

What we brought home An invitation: the Stockholm crew wants to visit Zurich one day. Decision tonight: we keep that door open and plan a joint wall here, maybe next year. Before that: printing "Five Lives" stickers in June and preparing 17 July.
