Filete for the Crew – Painting With BoD in Buenos Aires

PoshX and BoD paint "Filete for the Crew" in Buenos Aires: swirling letters, bright cat faces and a message for friends in Istanbul, Cairo and Zurich.

Buenos Aires – 29 November 2025, 20:40. Five days on a ladder that wobbled almost as much as Bernhard used to. The wall is finished, and I can't stop looking at it.

Filete for the Crew

BoD painted the frame: swirling leaves and flowers in red, green and gold, and in the middle the words "Siempre juntos" – always together – in her patient, shaded letters. Inside the frame I painted six cat faces: Kinky winking, SinDee with her sunglasses, DeeNice half hidden behind a notebook, me with my glasses – and two guests, DonD and BandO, painted from my sketchbooks.

Neighbours brought chairs and mate and gave advice on everything. A little girl asked who the cats were. BoD answered before I could: "Friends from all over the world. One day they'll all be here."

One line around the world

On the last evening the idea arrived, like the good ones always do – late and with snacks. DonD in Istanbul, BandO in Cairo, BoD in Buenos Aires, the crew in Zurich: what if each of us paints one panel of a single continuous line? It starts in one city and ends in the next, and when you put the panels together they make one picture. BoD said yes immediately. I'm sending messages to the others tonight.

Three cities, three new friends, one line still to be drawn. – PoshX
