“Dark as a night wall, with a twist of orange. My iced black chocolate after painting – no alcohol, all attitude.” – Kinky
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp black cocoa powder (or dark unsweetened cocoa)
- 40 g dark chocolate (70 %), chopped
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 ml hot water
- 400 ml cold milk (or oat milk)
- Zest and juice of 1/2 orange
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
- Ice cubes
- To decorate: 2 orange slices (fresh or dried), a few blackcurrants or blueberries, small rosemary sprigs
Method
- Whisk cocoa, sugar and salt with the hot water in a small pan over low heat until dissolved. Add the chocolate and the rosemary sprig and stir until smooth.
- Take the pan off the heat, remove the rosemary and stir in the orange zest and juice. Let it cool for 5 minutes.
- Whisk in the cold milk.
- Fill two tumblers with ice, pour in the black chocolate and decorate with an orange slice, berries and a little rosemary.
🐾 Kinky’s tip: Black cocoa gives the deep black colour. Normal dark cocoa works too – it just turns out a little browner.
